Obituary

Jermaine Rashad Fair, Sr.'s journey began May 17, 1980 in Miami, Florida. He was the son of Reverend John M. Fair and the late Rosetta Smith Fair. On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, he transitioned and went to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is a most difficult time for our family; we give thanksgiving for the years we shared in Jermaine's life.

He was educated in the Miami-Dade County public schools system. After graduating, he joined the Job Corps where he began his career in welding. Always good working with his hands, Jermaine was self-employed as a roofer.

Jermaine was a former member of True Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Miami, Florida. A true protector of his family, Jermaine enjoyed fishing, chess, bowling, playing pool, making jokes, laughing. Making others laugh was truly his passion.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin S. Greene.

A life filled with warmth and loving memories will forever be treasured by his family and friends. Those who survive are: father, Reverend John (Vivian) Fair of Miami, Florida; wife, Ruthie P. Fair of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; three sons: Jermaine R. Fair, Jr. and Rhajay Fair, both of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Solomon Fair of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Milton Green of Danville, Virginia and Russell Fair of Killeen, Texas; a sister, Frances (Charles) Harden of Greenville, South Carolina; an aunt, Jeanette Smith of Miami, Florida; an uncle, James Chalmers of Abbeville, South Carolina; a best friend, James Evans, Jr. of Mount Airy, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
