Mr. Jesse Earl Taylor, affectionately known as "Bubba", was born on July 2, 1948 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Peter James and Simmie Taylor.
Jesse was a longtime resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was affectionately known as "Mr. Jesse" by all who had a part in caring for him and was known for his BIG infectious smile. His smile would light up any room.
"Bubba" was an avid bike rider who loved the outdoors. He loved all genres of music and loved to workout.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Cornell" Taylor; two sisters, Eartha Mae "Punkin" Norman and Juanita Love; and a great granddaughter, Paislee Kelly. Jesse departed this life on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Trellis Supportive Care, surrounded by family.
He is survived by seven children: Undrea (Sereatha) Dockery, Natasha Taylor, Montae Shelf, Rochelle Taylor, Tramain Taylor, Jerome Taylor and Christon Taylor; six sisters: Amanda (Floyd) Archie, Etta Taylor, Retta (Jerry) Edmond, Deb Bryant (Brady), Crystal Love and Sharon Taylor; eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem) with visitation at 1:00 PM prior to the service. A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
