Joan Leonard Moore, 80, of the Midway Community, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. She was born in Davidson County to the late Hoy Lee Leonard and Dorothy L. Hayes Leonard.

She was a faithful member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mildred Tuttle and Geraldine Leonard and two brothers, William Leonard and Bobby Payne.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, James Franklin Moore; two sons, Timothy Moore and James Moore; three daughters: Melodie Leonard, Paulette Moore and Twala Moore; a brother, Cutis Leonard; a sister, Delma Moore; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday at Brooks Temple United Methodist Church, with family visitation at 1:30 p.m. and the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service in Lexington.
