Pastor John Willie Cade was born October 2, 1956 in Davidson County to the late Fannie Mae Cade Holmes and Willie Hearst.

Pastor Cade was educated in the Lexington School System, graduated in 1974 and attended Davidson County Community College. He worked many years at Phillip Morris USA

Pastor Cade pastored New Faith Baptist Church from 1986 to 1993 and then returned to Files Chapel to help his Father in ministry to carry out the work of God. Pastor Cade has served Files Chapel faithfully for the past 24 years.

On Tuesday morning, November 12, 2019 John was welcomed home from labor to reward by his parents and his brother, Robert Holmes, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his fond memory his daughter, Tamara Cade; a granddaughter, Markeshia Cade; a great-granddaughter, Kennedi Cade; three brothers: Rev. Joseph (Katrina) Holmes, Wade Booker and Willie Hearst, Jr.; four sisters: Angela Hearst, Linda Hearst, Jackie Hearts and Beverly Hearst and ahost of other family and friends.

His funeral service will be on Sunday at 2:00pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Files Chapel Baptist Church. Public viewing at Files Chapel Baptist Church will be from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.
