John Lee Hayes, 64, of 2713 Rosemary Drive, Winston-Salem transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

He was born on January 4, 1955 to the late Cleo Hayes and Lula Lindsay Hayes in Davidson County, North Carolina.He matriculated through the local public school system. He loved the Lord!

He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo Hayes; mother, Lula Hayes; two brothers: Paul Hayes and Harold Hayes, Sr.; three sisters: Louise Leonard, Elaine Hayes, and Patricia Ann Hayes.

Those precious ones left to cherish his life and memory are his three daughters: Tamara Y. Braboy (Ray), Denee L. Hayes, Stacy L. Smith (John); two sisters: Pearlene Hayes, Wanda Hayes; three brothers: Russell Hayes, Louis Hayes, Arthur Hayes; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and host of other family and friends.

The Service of Love and Celebration will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 from the Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem) with family moments of visitation at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. His remains shall lie in repose Friday, October 4, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem.
