John Arthur Moore, age 65, born September 13, 1952, in New Jersey, died on December 30, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae Holt; a sister, Nellie F. Rogers; two aunts, Eula P. Dawkins and Virginia Moore and five uncles: Joe Wiley, Eddie, Thomas, Joe and Charles Moore.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Bessie Greene Moore; stepfather, Fred Holt, Sr.; brother, Fred (Susan) Holt, Jr.; sister, Barbara H. Fowler; two aunts, Kate Wiley and Ella Mae Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service will be Friday, January 12, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel.
