John Wesley Redmond, age 72, gave up time for Eternity on Saturday, March 14, 2026 while a patient at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born January 8, 1954 in Iredell County, North Carolina. Lovingly known as "Wesley" by family and friends, he was the son of the late Andrew and Beulah Holland Redmond. John was kind and easy-going. His physical presence is no longer of this earth, but we will forever treasure his memory.

He attended the Iredell County public schools. John was last employed with Calvin Construction Services. Attending Shiloh Baptist Church in Mocksville, North Carolina was important to John, as he loved his spiritual walk and getting closer to God. John found pleasure in detailing his cars, going to drag shows, attending church, singing and listening to music.

His parents and sibling, James Redmond, preceded him in death.

John is survived by his wife, Bertha M. Redmond of the home; a son, Wesley Dion (Daniene) Cody of Mocksville, North Carolina; three daughters: Latesha McNeely of Lexington, North Carolina, Maggie A. Cody and Candice P. Redmond, both of Mocksville, North Carolina; Bonus Children, Vicki (Cozy) Allison and Jimmy (Dorothy) Fortune of Mocksville, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Savannah Mayfield of Mocksville, North Carolina; four brothers: George Redmond, Ray (Molly) Redmond and Macco (Sharon) Redmond, all of Mocksville, North Carolina and Charles Redmond of High Point, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, of Alberta Arnold of Mocksville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, March 20, 2026 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel with a 30 minute visitation prior to service time
