Mr. John David Yokley, of the Midway community, passed away on January 29, 2025 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

He was born on September 5, 1944 to the late Charlie Lee Yokley and Lenora Lindsay Yokley. He worked in construction for many years and was a member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Minnie Yokley and Glenda Yokley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Novella Young Yokley; two sons, Wallace (Deandrala) Yokley and John Garry Yokley; two daughters, Lucille (Luther) Leonard and Sabrina Yokley; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: William Yokley, Charles Yokley and Herman Yokley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with family visitation at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Friday, February 7, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Service.
