Johnny Lee "Blue" Baker, 63, was born in Davidson County on December 30, 1953, to Willie Alexander Baker and Jessie Bush Baker. He passed on Monday, May 1, 2017, at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen United Methodist Church 100 East 1st Street Lexington, NC with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Old Smith Grove View Baptist Church, Linwood.
Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00-7:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William A. Baker.
Surviving relatives to cherish his legacy and memory are his daughter, Katina Chambers of Lexington and her mother, Cheryl; a sister, Rosalind Baker Peoples and her husband Fernando of Lexington; two brothers, Gary Eugene Baker and Phillip Scott Baker both of Lexington; two grandsons, Raequel Byrd and Kirby Vinson and a great-granddaughter, Ny'Alla Vinson; an aunt, Lois Bush Koontz of Greensboro; a nephew, Garian Baker of Charlotte; a niece, Kameron Boler of Greensboro and a host of other relatives and friends.
