Obituary

Jonathan R. Mora, age 31, was born October 15, 1991 in Miami, Florida. He is the son of Astrid Bohorquez and Rolando Mora, Sr. He departed his earthly life April 9, 2023. When tomorrow comes and Jonathan is no longer with us, we will remember him with fondness and thanksgiving, for all the shared memories, for the blessing he was to us and a life well-lived. We will not forget his kindness, generosity and loving demeanor.

"Miami John," as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Miami-Dade County, Florida and graduated from Doral Academy, Inc., Class of 2010. He received certification as a Computer Repair Technician. Jonathan was last employed at Advance Carolina Controls as an Access Control Technician. Before relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, Jonathan attended Christ Fellowship in Miami, Florida.

Known for his love of sports, Jonathan enjoyed being a rugby player and was a member of the Charlotte Barbarians team. He enjoyed wrestling, playing paintball, disc golf and video games.

Jonathan and Susan Leon were joined in Holy Matrimony on June 18, 2016. A special moment of their relationship was when they renewed their vows at Burg Rheinstein in Germany on October 11, 2022.

Jonathan was fun-loving and always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellowman. His memory will forever be cherished by his devoted wife, Susan Leon; loving parents, Astrid Bohorquez and Rolando (Elsie) Mora, Sr.; siblings: Michael Benzo, Raquel Arce-Ramirez, Natalia Mora, Ryan Davis, Rolando(Rolito) Mora, Xsia Mora, Jeiselyn Del Barro and Jeissevette Del Barro; paternal grandparents, Giovanni Mora and Isabel Delgado-Mora; mother-in-law, Yajaira Perez and father-in-law, Ramon Leon; maternal aunt, Carmen Cecilia Rueda; maternal uncle, Jorge Simosa; two paternal aunt, Rocio Mora-Perera and Dannia Leyton; paternal uncle, Giovanni Mora; sister-in-law, Gisel Greeneich; brother-in-law, Kevin Greeneich; two fur babies, Salem and Sabrina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His life and legacy will be celebrated 1:00 PM Friday, April 14, 2023 at House of Rosadale Home of Funerals, 5216 E. Independence Blvd., Charlotte, North Carolina 28212 with a visitation from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM prior to service time.
