Joseph Thomas Gailes, 65 of Clemmons, North Carolina, slipped away to be with the Lord on January 16, 2023 while in the comfort of his home. He was born on November 2, 1957 to Thomas Eugene Gailes and Lillie Mae Pettiford Gailes in Oxford, North Carolina.

He received his formal education from the local school system. He worked as a mechanic with Joe's Tractor. Joseph, in his leisure, had great zeal for the sport of hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.

His life will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Eastside Church of Christ with visitation at 1:30 P.M. prior to the service. He will find rest in the serenity of New Evergreen Cemetery following the service. A reflection period will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
