Katina Charon Wagner was born on Thursday, October 25th, 1973 to the late Samuel L. Wagner and Mary S. Wagner. She passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Willow Valley Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Katina is an Alumni of North Carolina Central, graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in accounting. She later received a Master's in Accounting, leading to her career path. Before her illness, she devoted her free time to singing in the choir at The Living Ministries in Charlotte, NC. She was constantly seeking a relationship with our creator. She later became a member at Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading novels and playing card games on the phone. Katina was a very bold and lively person, full of spirit and never afraid to speak her mind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nakiesha Johnson and a nephew, Ja'Kez Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Ty'Ara Wagner; four grandchildren: Braylen, Jacob, Johnathan and Gabrie'el and one on the way; two brothers, Jeremiah Smith and Ivan Smith; a niece, Zanebia Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
