Mrs. Kattie Mae Gattison King, 79, of Greenwood St., passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 3:00pm at New Smith Grove Baptist Church with visitation an hour before the service.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00pm until 6:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Darlington, SC to the late Benroe Grandy and Ruth Goodson.She was last employed with Link Taylor Furniture Factory and was a faithful member of New Smith Grove Baptist Church, serving on many boards in the church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 57 years, Clyde L. King, Sr.; three sons, Ricky (Beverly) King, Clyde King, Jr. and Christopher Anthony King; a daughter, Shelia K. (Gregory) Brown; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Catherine Hines, Edell Manigault, and Eliza (Ralph) Brown all of Darlington, SC and Idella (Michael) Glenn of Greer, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
