Kenya Alexis Young, born on October 10, 1994 in Guilford County, North Carolina, brought light, love and joy to everyone who knew her. She transitioned from this life on February 27, 2026 in Davidson County, North Carolina, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
Kenya was a caring and dedicated individual who lived with purpose and compassion. Through her work at Elevation Patient Financial Services, she demonstrated a sincere commitment to helping others, embodying a spirit of service that touched all those she encountered.
Her educational journey reflected her passion for care and personal growth. Kenya became a Certified Nursing Assistant through Davidson-Davie Community College, where she developed skills rooted in empathy and dedication. She also earned a phobias certificate from Guilford Technical Community College, further showcasing her desire to learn, grow and expand her understanding of the world around her.
Kenya was a faithful member of Gates of Zion Worship Center, where she found spiritual strength, fellowship and a loving church family.
Above all, Kenya treasured her family and friends. She took great pride in her role within their lives and consistently sought to encourage, uplift and love those around her. Her warm heart, gentle spirit and genuine smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Kenya is lovingly survived by her mother, Lisa I. McCauley; her brothers: Sherod I. Davis, Terrance D. Davis and De’Andre M. Wilson; her paternal grandmother, Patricia Ann Young; her maternal grandmother, Mary Edna McCauley; and her beloved niece, Seoulyn Warr. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Keenan W. Young; her paternal grandfather, Pierce Lee Young; and her maternal grandfather, Wilber B. McCauley. Though they have gone before her, their love continues to bring comfort and strength to those who mourn her passing.
A visitation in celebration of Kenya’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Gates of Zion Worship Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., honoring her vibrant spirit and the lasting impact she made on those fortunate enough to know her.
Kenya Alexis Young will be remembered not for the sorrow of her passing, but for the warmth, love and light she brought into the world. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to live on, ensuring her spirit remains forever present in the hearts of those who loved her.
