Kitty Elaine Solis, 54, daughter of James Woodrow Belvin, Sr. andRev. Joann McNear was born March 6, 1965 in Paterson, New Jersey.She departed this life on December 2, 2019 at her home surrounded by family.

She was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Pittsburgh, PA.Kitty had a strong spiritual background through her parents who diligently led her to seek the Lord at her church where she loved to attend the praise and worship of the church.

Kitty graduated from Passic Technical Vocational High School in 1983.She later attended Passic Community College where she earned a nursing degree.

"Kit", "Kitty-Cat", and "Kitty Cat" from Gunsmoke as she was affectionately known by those close to her, was also known for her colorful spirit.She was equally known for her beautiful smile and tender heart.Everyone who met her loved her.She was loving, caring, compassionate, humble, genuine and was always known for carrying a camera and taking pictures every chance she got.She had a passionate ear for music.

Later she met the love of her life, Jose Louis Solis, Jr. who later became her husband.They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Katoya Broxie and Indira Solis.They resided in Pittsburgh, PA and later relocated to Winston-Salem, NC.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Woodrow Belvin, Sr. and grandmothers, Dolores Kate Edwards and Naomi Belvin; brother, James W. Belvin, Jr., uncles: John Edwards, Jr. and Willie Williams.

She is survived by her huband, Jose Louis Solis, Jr.; daughters: Katoya (Aaron) Broxie and Indira Solis; step-son, Xavier James Murphy-Solis; step-mother, Earnestine (Pugh) Belvin; brothers: Steven (Leslie) Belvin, Joseph Belvin, Matthew Alfaro; sisters: Terrisene (Darnell) Wyche Pough, Kathy (Timothy) Hancock, Wanda (Reginald) Roberson, Tiffany (Kelvin) Glover, Carroll Pugh and Lorna Cox; aunts: Annie Joe Jackson, Dolores Porter and Deborah Ann Belvin: 3 sister-in-laws, 5 brother-in-laws, 2 grandchildren: Daniel and Kiyah Broxie; special cousin: Jacqueline Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Joyous Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, 1225 Piney Grove Road, Kernersville, NC 27284 with family moments of visitation at 10:30a.m. prior to the Celebration of Her Life. Her remains shall lie in repose Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem.
