Lenora Lindsay Yokley, 94, of the Midway community, died Friday, October 29, 2021 at Accordius Health at Lexington.
She was born June 10, 1927 in Davidson County to John W. Lindsay and Minnie B. Lindsay. She retired from Dixie Furniture. She was a member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church, a member of the chancel choir and United Methodist Women. Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Minnie Yokley and Glenda Yokley; four brothers: Hereon Lindsay, Matt Lindsay, Bruce Lindsay and Otis Lindsay and a sister, Ella Mae Lindsay.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons: John Yokley, Williams Yokley, Charles Yokley and Herman Yokley; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A service of love will be Sunday at Brooks Temple UMC at 2:00pm with family visitation at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
