Mr. Leroy "Bubba" Green, Jr. was born in Guilford County to Leroy Green, Sr. and Elise Kimbrell Green on December 12, 1935. On Sunday, July 30, 2023 God dispatched his angels to W.G. (Bill) Hefner Salisbury Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center to bring his child, Leroy, home.

Mr. Green served in The United States Army and retired from Burlington Ind. He was of the Baptist faith. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Louise Young Green; two sons, Alfredo Nance and Gilbert Jerod Green; a daughter, Yvonne Kirk and a sister, Ruth Willoughby.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Phyllis (Nathaniel) Floyd; a daughter-in-law, Adrius D. Green; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Abbot; special cousin, Daniel Quick and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Monday at Stanley Gardens of Memory at 11:00am. Public viewing will be Sunday at Hartsell Funeral Home & Crematory from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Arrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Service, Lexington.
