In His own way and for His purpose, God looked down on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 4:20pm and called the spirit of our dearly beloved, Lester Lee home to be with Him throughout eternity.The Heavenly Father has taken a dedicated warrior, ever willing to serve.Lester did what was requested of him as unto the Lord, and his spirit of humility follows him from earth to the mansion that has been prepared for him in glory.Lester is now playing his guitar and harmonica in the heavenly choir, rejoicing and thanking God for His blessings."Free, Thank You Lord I'm Free, No Longer Bound, No More Chains Holding Me, My Soul Is Resting, Its Just A Blessing, Praise The Lord, Hallelujah I'm Free."
Lester Lee was born on January 13, 1932 to the late Jeff Emmanuel and Madie Bea Thomas Lee in Starke, Florida. He retired from Dixie Linwood Plant 2 (Lexington Home Brands).He was a member of First Baptist Church, Village Dr., Acacia Lodge #66, Jno G. Lewis Consistory #326 and Al Khattab Temple #201.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ma'Kayla N. Bush and six brothers: W.C. Lee, Jeff Emmanuel Lee, Mack Charles Lee, William Hampton, Lewis Hampton and Raymond Hampton.
Lester leaves to cherish his fond memories, a loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Beatrice Jackson Lee; a grandson reared as his son, Cedarian M. Lee; three daughters: Lexie M. (Robert) Bush, Katina D. Lee and Sheila N. Scott; grandchildren: De'Zire N. Bush, Robert Bush, Jr., Keona D. Lee, Ja"Quan M. Scott, Edward L. (Carrie) Scott, Jr. and Elder Colen E. (Sebrina) Scott; one brother, Robert L. Lee of Starke, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday at First Baptist Church, Village Dr. at 1:00pm with family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.
