Lonnie Nesmith Jr., 84, of High Point, North Carolina passed on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Piedmont Christian Home in High Point, North Carolina. He was born on June 7, 1939 in Forsyth County, North Carolina to Lonnie and Elease Britton Nesmith, Sr.


He received his formal education from Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and mother of his children, Georgia Mae Nesmith Pettigrew; his son, Lonnie Nesmith, III and his brother, Johnnie Nesmith.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Arleen Gail Nesmith Glen and Stephany Russell of Norcross, GA.; his son, Rodney Nesmith and his brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Carolyn Nesmith of Philadelphia, PA.


A public viewing will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the funeral home. The homegoing service will take place at the 1:00 P.M.
