Loretta Kay Cabe of Linwood, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 peacefully with her family by her side at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina after months of declining health. Born August 18, 1956 in Davidson County, North Carolina, Loretta was the daughter of the late Colon Welch and Jean Essick.

She attended the public schools of Davidson County, North Carolina and later received her associates degree in accounting. She was last employed with Wal-Mart. She was a loving, caring, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great -grandmother and aunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cabe and a sister, Ronda Welch.

She left behind to cherish her memory, a daughter, Tiffany (Brian) Younts of Denton, North Carolina; a son, Michael Hill of Welcome, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita (Hoy) Craver of Spencer, Virginia; a brother, Del (Tessy) Welch of Mocksville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
