Mrs. Lula Lorraine Blackburn Roseborough, 87, of New Castle Drive, Winston-Salem was born on September 16, 1931 to the late William and Hattie Bailey Blackburn in Pfafftown, North Carolina.On Monday, June 24, 2019 while in the comfort of her home "Lorraine" exchanged her mortal body for immortality.
She was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and she attended Carver High School.She was employed with the Charles Badcock, Jr. Estate where she also retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Blackburn and Hattie Bailey Blackburn and her husband Wade Henry Roseborough.
Those precious ones left to honor and cherish her memory are her three daughters: Francine Roseborough, Karen (John) Harding, Kimberly Williams; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.
The Service of Joyous Celebration will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2019 from the chapel of Roberts Funeral Service (Winston-Salem) with family visitation at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.Her mortal frame shall be coached to the care of Parklawn Memorial Park for earthly rest.At other times the family may be contacted at the home 2104 New Castle Drive. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, her remains shall lie in repose during that time.
