In sweet peace, on the evening of Friday, July 8, 2022 our beloved Lula Geneva Flint Foote gave up time for eternal rest and journeyed home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our family and friends are most saddened as we say goodbye to a woman of God, a woman of Faith, whom we loved dearly. We are grateful for the many years we shared her life.


Lula Geneva Flint Foote was born February 2, 1933 in Davie County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Zelma Clement Flint.


She received her formal education from the Davie County public schools and received her certificate of Cosmetology from Carolina Beauty School, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A life-long, faithful member of Fairfield Baptist Church, Mocksville, North Carolina, she was the Mother of the Church, served on the Deaconess Board, Pastor's Aid, Nurses Aid, Usher Board and served as the church secretary. Geneva's hobbies included baking, cooking, crocheting and "shopping" at the various flea markets.


Along with her husband, Cariel Foote and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Wilbert Foote; four sisters: Dee Dee Smoot, Addie Bell, Mildred Blackwelder and Zelda Naylor .


Lula's legacy of love, devotion to family and friends and her sweet spirit will live in the hearts of those who survive: a son, Windell (Roslyn) Foote of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a daughter, LaWanda (Archie) Foote Dry of Mocksville, North Carolina; six grandchildren: Shamika (Devon) Simms, Jenelle Foote, Cariel (Stormie) Foote, Christopher Foote, Sheena Wilson and Kimberly Dry; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Frost of Yadkinville, North Carolina and Rachel Carson of Mocksville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
