Maglaine Estella Hill, age 83, departed her earthly life on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 while a patient at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Most Gracious and Loving Father, we give thanks for Maglaine's life and though her physical presence is no longer of this earth, she will be lovingly remembered.

Born September 26, 1939 in Davidson County, North Carolina, Maglaine was the daughter of the late Hoyt Eugene Hill and Maggie Anderson Hill. She was educated and graduated with the Class of 1961 from Dunbar High School, Lexington, North Carolina. Maglaine was last employed as a housekeeper for Dr. Rattan's office for many years. Her church affiliation was with Thompson Chapel CME Church, Lexington, North Carolina. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In her younger years she enjoyed playing basketball.

Maglaine loved watching television. She enjoyed watching her favorite shows: Walker Texas Ranger, Sanford & Son and laughing at Steve Harvey on Family Feud. Baseball and football were her favorite sports to watch on television. She loved walking which gave her pleasure as she felt that this was therapeutic. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She has joined others in a place we are told is perfect in every way. Welcoming her home along with her parents were her siblings: Dewey Hill, Arree Hill, Girie Martin, Elnora H. Roberts, Alma Bailey and Mary Ann White.

A legacy of love, devotion and fond memories are left to those who survive. They are: two sons, Brian (Teresa) Crump of Mocksville, North Carolina and Edward Hill of Lexington, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Brittany Crump, Cory Crump, Brian Hargrave and Justin Mostella; five great-grandchildren; two best friends, Ruth Jackson and Gertis McMillian and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.



Homegoing services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Files Chapel Baptist Church, Lexington , North Carolina with moments of sharing 30 minutes prior to service time. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Facial coverings and/or masks are required for the services.
