Margaret Eloise Hines was born on October 20, 1955 to the late Doris Hines Thomas and Lemart Thomas, Sr. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.She slipped away to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in the comfort of her home, being surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret E. Hines received her formal education in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public School System in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.Margaret accepted Christ as her Savior at Solid Rock Baptist Church at an early age.She was a devoted member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Thomas Hines and Lemart Thomas, Sr.; three brothers: Lavonza Hines, Joseph Hines, Sr., Nathaniel Thomas; two nephews, Joseph Hines, Jr. and Lemart Thomas, III.

Margaretleaves to cherish her memory four children: Antinett Battise, Michael Thomas, Trina (Melvin) Baldwin and Tray Glenn; ten grandchildren: Tyreace, Shay, Tanisha, Latrice, Melvin, Jr., Michael, Mikishal, Joshua, Imani and Mattson; three great-grandchildren: Brianna, Madison and Kingston; three siblings: Brenda Thomas, Lemart Thomas, Jr. and Elizabeth (Walter) Wolak; four nieces: Chevelle, Shauna, Chalita and Felicia; six nephews: Xavier, Bobby (Tiffany) Thomas, Ray, Jr, Derrele (Asia) Mitchell, Brandon (Latretta) Thomas and Alex; three ladies whom she loved like her own daughters, Shalonda, Jasmin and Valerie; special friend William Stinson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her life will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel with family visitation at 1:30 P.M. Public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.In accordance with Covid-19 social distancing protocols, all guests are required to wear a face mask.
