Obituary

"For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)"

Margaretta Louise Hines was born on April 5, 1945 to Irvin Vance Hines and Daisy Mae Harris Hines. Her life began side by side with her twin sister, Margaret Eloise Hines-a perfect start for two souls destined to share love, dreams and family. They are affectionately known to our family as "Biggon and Lillian". Since birth they have been inseparable.

Margaretta entered into eternal rest quickly and peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, earned her G.E.D. from Forsyth Technical Community College and retired as Owner and Administrator of Hines Homes Inc.

Being a woman of great faith, she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age. Spiritually, she was a devout Christian and Overseer Bishop at Churches of Christ Holiness Church in Winston-Salem, NC.

Margaretta was preceded in death by both parents; one daughter, Trixie (Melvin) Baker; four sisters: Margaret Hines, Bernice Bloxom, Doris Thomas and Doretha Coates; and one brother, Irvin Vance Hines, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her seven daughters and one son: Tangela (Walter) Jones, Twanna Stuckey, Trina (Kinnard) Kirby, Valencia Stuckey, Tracy (Anthony) Morrison, Tammy Stuckey, Rebecca Stuckey and Matthew Stuckey. She is survived by three sisters: Gwendolyn Faust-Fuller, Carrie (Theodore) Weldon and Velma Foster; and one brother, Bishop Nathaniel Hines. She is lovingly remembered by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

The Triumphant Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 P.M Friday, October 17, 2025 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with family moments of sharing at 12:30 P.M. prior to the hour of service. Her mortal frame will find sweet rest in the tranquility of Mt. Gur Cemetery next to her twin sister, Margaret. Overseer Hines shall lie in repose Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
