Marie Campbell Cross, a beloved member of the Lexington community, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2025. Born on March 4, 1956 in Davidson County to the late Jeanette Higgins, Marie led a life marked by faith, service and creativity.

A devoted member of City of The Great Harvest Church, Marie served faithfully as the financial secretary and was affectionately known as "Mother Cross" by the congregation. Her dedication and nurturing spirit made her a cornerstone of the church community.

Marie was also widely recognized for her exceptional talent as a seamstress. Her skill and creativity brought joy and elegance to many and her work was cherished throughout Lexington.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Tuesday Cross; step son, Daron Cross; four grandchildren: Messiah Allah, Majesty Allah, Precious Allah and Cassidy Watkins; and a host of other family members and special friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM at City of The Great Harvest Church. Public viewing will be Friday at Roberts Funeral Service from 1:00pm -5:00pm.
