Mr. Marion Ellious Gordon, 93, of Old Greensboro Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, slipped away from earthly work into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Trinity Glen. His beloved parents, Bernie and Rebecca Gordon welcomed him into this earthly journey on January 11, 1930 in Forsyth County, North Carolina, which would begin his life's story.
He received his formal education from the Winston-Salem Forsyth Public Schools. He was employed with Thomasville Furniture for over 20 years. Additionally, he worked with the City of Winston-Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Annetta Gordon and his siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Hazel Gordon; son, Antonio Gordon; daughter, Diane Gordon; stepchildren: Charles Alexander Parker, Dennis Parker, Cheryl Mouzon; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Carver Road Church of Christ. The family will receive and greet friends at 11:30 AM prior to the service.
