The presence of Our Lord and Savior blessed our home with an amazing, Marlin Catrina Scott, born August 16, 1958 in Davidson County, North Carolina. She was reared in a loving home by her parents, Frances McIntosh Scott and the late Eddie Addison Scott. Marlin transitioned Saturday, February 24, 2024. She had a smile, dancing eyes and a demeanor that made all who encountered her feel special and appreciated. She will be missed dearly.


Marlin was educated in the Lexington City School System. She later moved to Georgia where she was the Associate Director of Housing for the University of Georgia.

A Believer, she was a member of Life in the Word Worship Center, Lexington, North Carolina, where she was a faithful and dedicated member of the Finance Committee, Administration Committee and Board of Directors.


A legacy of love, adoration and fond memories will always be treasured by her family: mother, Frances McIntosh Scott; two brothers, Pastor Eddie Scott of Lexington, North Carolina and Derrick (Tina) Scott of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM Friendship Baptist Church with family visitation at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
