On Sunday, September 4, 2022, Mary Magalene Moultrey Alexander quietly left on her well-planned journey to her new home in Glory, where she is already in fellowship with Jesus and all of her family members and friends who were awaiting her arrival. We, her family members and friends, truly thank God for the privilege of sharing this life with her.

Born September 10, 1937 in Florence, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John Moultrey and Etta Tillon. Her formal education was received in the public schools of Iredell County, North Carolina. She was a homemaker and was truly proud to be a mother.

Mary loved the Lord and fellowshipped with several churches in the area. She was a member of Smith Grove AME Zion, Mocksville, North Carolina. She enjoyed planting flowers and watching TV.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Junior Alexander; her son, Dennis N. Alexander; and siblings: Nathaniel, Hubert, Cleo and John .

To cherish her memory she leaves a grandson, Jason Young; beloved daughter-in-law, Vernice B. Alexander of Advance, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Mary Alexander will be conducted 5:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Roberts Chapel, 953 Salisbury Road, Mocksville, North Carolina 27028 with moments of sharing at 4:30 PM prior to the hour of service. Public viewing will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Facial coverings and/or masks are required for the services.
