Mrs. Mary Lee Bellamy, 95, passed on Monday, May 22, 2017, at Abbotts Creek Center.

The funeral service will be Saturday at First Baptist Church on Village Dr. at 11:30am with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

She was born October 27, 1921, to William Pierce and Hattie B. Cutchins in Edgecombe, County. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sons: Clarence, William, Julius, Robert and Lamont Bellamy; three daughters: Lucille Bellamy, Catherine Thorne and Mary L. Bellamy and a sister, Hazel Bush Raven.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory her six sons: Jessie, James "Butch", Haywood, John (Signora), David and Willie Bellamy; three daughters: Hattie (Lewis) McLendon, Annie Dancy and Shelia Bellamy; a brother, Tyrone Pierce; 37 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 45 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
