Rev. Mary Ann Clement White passed on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
A private service will be Sunday at Roberts Chapel. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Cooleemee, NC. Public viewing will be Saturday at Roberts Chapel, 953 Salisbury St., Mocksville, NC from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
Rev. White was born February 28, 1934 to Hoyt Eugene Hill and Sarah Janie Allison Clement.She was educated in the Davie County Schools. She retired from Lexington Furniture, Mocksville.Rev. White was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served as associate minister, president of Missionary, Sunday School Superintendent, choir, dedicated and devoted Treasurer, custodian and Third Vice-President of Davie County Missionary Union.Rev. White was known by her cake baking skills; she was fondly known as "Rev. Cake."Her cakeshave been sent as far as Washington, DC, Marylandand Atlanta, Ga.
Rev. White was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Spurgeon Jessie Clement; four children: Rev. James T. Clement, Apostle Perry Eugene Clement, Ray Edward White, Sr. and an infant son; a son-in-law, Alfred McMahan and two brothers, Dewey Hill and Arree Hill; three sisters, Girie Martin, Elnora Roberts and Alma Bailey.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters: Mary Catherine Clement of Cooleemee, Minister Quintenna McMahan and Elder Wanda (James) Fowler both of Mocksville; a sister, Magalene Hill; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-law: Brenda Pashal Clement, MichelleClement and Rita Clement and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
