Mary Elizabeth Carpenter was born on November 28, 1942 in Eagle Rock, Virginia to the late Rayburn Martin Barger, Sr. and Mary Jane Thomas.She transitioned from this life on November 18, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale E. Carpenter.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons: Charles William Pond, Jr., Ricky Lee Pond; daughter, Janet Benson; brother, Rayburn Barger, II; sister, Barbara Ann Epperly; thirteen grandchildren: Timothy Pond, Kimberly (Todd) Lankford, Angela Wilson, Victoria Harris, Regina Carpenter, Steven (Tamie) Wilson, Debra Wilson, Scott Pond, Craig Pond, Heidi (Chris) Meador, Doug Dinkle, Isaac Pond and Ricky Pond; 23 great-grand children, one great-great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.
There will be no formal public services held at this present time.
