Mary Elizabeth Lee Dula Banks was born in Davidson County on March 12, 1924, to the late Floyd Lee and Ida Clarabelle Craven Lee. On February 6, 2017 she passed away.

Memorial service will be Saturday at 11:00a.m. at St. Stephens United Methodist Church.

She graduated from Dunbar School, attended North Carolina A & T and graduated from Marco Beauty College.She was the ultimate cosmetologist, an insurance agent for North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance and worked at Dixie Furniture.

She is survived by her children: Rev. Dr. Arnetta E. Beverly of Greensboro, Herbert Dula, Sr. of Charlotte, Clarence (Dr. Allison Nash) Dula of St. Louis and Uleetha Pittman of Lexington; her grandchildren: Russell (Charlene) Beverly, Ronnie (Tracy) Beverly, Jr., Herbert (Shaun) Dula, Jr., Bradford Dula, Courtney (Adam) Pearson, Carole (Ricky) Bell, Jamel (Adrian) March, Sr., William Dula and Homer Dula; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Stephens United Methodist Church.
