Mary P. Peoples was born March 22, 1944 in Davie County to James M. Peebles and Geneva Hoover Peebles. Mary departed this life on Saturday May 7, 2022.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai AME Zion Church where she served on the usher board and sang on the choir. She retired from PPG Industries.

Mrs. Peoples was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers William and Peebles and Frank Peebles

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Wilburd Peoples; two brothers, Lewis (Audrey) Peebles and James J. (Maezella) Peebles; a sister, Christine (Franklin) Cowan and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday at Mt. Sinai AME Zion Church at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lay in state from 11:00 til 1:00 at the church. (Roberts Chapel)
