Mrs. Mary Magdalene Walker Walser, 90, died on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House.

The funeral service will be on Saturday at 12:30pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Friday from 2-6pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was born October 23, 1928 in Davidson County to Lena E. Walker. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1945. Ms. Mary retired from Thomasville Furniture. She was a faithful member of Files Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a member of the senior choir, Missionary Circle, Finance committee, trustee board and a church custodian for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her mother; two sons, Gregory E. Griffin and Charles A. Griffin and a sister, Lonnie E. Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Kenneth (Ella) Walker and Christopher Don (Claudia) Griffin; daughter-in-law, Sharon Griffin; four grandchildren: Courtney Mack, Angela (Sharif) Walker Bey, Christopher (Megan) Griffin and Sean Griffin; seven great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
