Matthew Eddie Dixon, 68, peacefully transitioned into eternity on April 6. 2024 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center, Thomasville, North Carolina. He was born to the late Joe and Martha Fortune Dixon on April 2, 1956, in Lexington, North Carolina.

At a young age, you could catch Matthew enjoying the service and sounds at the United House of Prayer. He loved a nice cold and crisp Coca Cola. His quiet demeanor and personality left a lasting impression on those he met. He was employed with Link Taylor-Lexington Furniture Industries.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Pulliam; a niece, Valerie Wilson Terrell and a nephew, Robert "Gramp" Wilson, Jr.

Matthew leaves memories to be cherished by his sister, Mary P. Crump of Lexington, NC; brother, Sammy J. Dixon of Winston-Salem, NC; niece, Angela L. Wilson of Lexington; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service with Family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
