Mattie Rosha Dewalt Johnson, 55, of Woodbriar Path, Rural Hall, exchanged this earthly life for life eternal on Thursday, March 11, 2021 while in the comfort of her home.She was born on March 23, 1965 to Bennett and Evelyn Thaxton Dewalt in Mocksville, North Carolina.
She received her formal education from the local Davie County Schools and was a graduate of Davie High School.She worked in the housekeeping profession for 28 years.

In her leisure time, she loved dancing, cooking, singing and laughing.She also had a great passion and love for sewing clothes.During her Christian journey she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 17 while fellowshipping with a Baptist church in Mocksville.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved children: Lisa Johnson, Willie Johnson, Mark Johnson, Kim Johnson and Dale Jr. Dewalt Johnson; grandchildren: Chester Timmons, Samiya Freeman, Jervel Freeman, Keira Williams, Massiah Williams, Monterio Williams, Mariah Williams, Jedidiah Williams, Kimberly Johnson and Travis Johnson; her parents: Bennett L. and Evelyn Dewalt; siblings: Eddit Harris, Lousie Dewalt, Mona Lisa Dewalt, Kent Dewalt, Allie Dewalt, Floyd Dewalt, James Dewalt and Donnell Dewalt and a host of nieces, nephews and the Harris and Rois Family.

Apublic viewing only will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.In accordance with Covid-19 social distancing protocols, all guests are required to wear a face mask.
