Obituary
She was born in Essex County, New Jersey on January 17, 1947 to Walter Sherman McElveen and Rosa Lee McElveen.Mrs. Melinda was educated in the Newark, NJ School System and retired from Duracell Battery in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Lee Threadgill; two brothers, Kenneth McElveen and Charles Sherman McElveen and a sister, Betty Jo Rease.
She leaves a legacy of love to her son, Ronald (Eleanor) McElveen; three grandchildren: Karon Martin, Antwan (Franceska) McElveen and Ronica McElveen; one great-granddaughter, Karsyn S. McElveen; a brother, Gerald (Pamela) McElveen and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday at Cunningham Baptist Church at 2:00pm with family visitation at 1:30pm.Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.
