Melisa Gail Phillips Salazar, age 50, transitioned to eternal rest Thursday, March 14, 2024 at her residence in Lexington, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Lennie Phillips and the late Donna Blevins. Melisa was born on June 9, 1973 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.


She attended the Davidson County, North Carolina public schools. Melisa enjoyed baking, going to the beach, spending time with the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Keely, getting dressed up, putting on her make-up and just riding "anywhere".

Her mother, Donna Blevins, and brother, Tony Phillips preceded her in death.

Melisa's memory will remain in the hearts of her daughter, Ashley (Jerry Blanks III) Andrews of Lexington, North Carolina; grandchildren, Keely Blanks and Keegan Blanks; a niece, Cassidy McDaniel of Spokane, Washington; and a host of cousins and close friends who all loved her dearly.
