IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael J
Bisio
October 2, 1954 – January 17, 2026
Michael J. Bisio, 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest High Point Medical Center. He was born on October 2, 1954, in Taunton, Massachusetts, to the late John Bisio and Katherine Bisio.
Michael was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He was truly the backbone of his family and will be remembered as the best husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather ever.
Michael loved traveling and enjoyed taking trips, especially to Tennessee, New England, and Ohio. He had a unique habit of collecting things—often never using them—which always brought smiles and laughter to those who knew him best. A proud New England Patriots fan, Michael rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on his favorite team.
He was a skilled handyman and the family's go-to "Mr. Fix It," always willing and able to repair just about anything. Above all, Michael loved gathering with his family during the holidays, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness that will be cherished forever.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ralph Cox.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife of over 50 years, Laurie Bisio; two sons, Steve Bisio and John Bisio; three daughters, Jillian Bisio, Shelley (Gary) Dickerson, and Jennifer Bisio; twelve grandchildren, Mercedes, Alexandra, Madison, Aiden, Dashani, Kamryn, Alexis, Brylee, Anders, Cameron, Jonathan, and Promise; one great-grandchild, Octavius; two brothers, Brian Bisio and John Bisio; two sisters, Susan (Darrell) Stroh and Kathy Cox; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Michael's life was one filled with love, laughter, dedication, and family. His legacy will live on through all who were blessed to know and love him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at Noon until 1:00pm at Mountain View Baptist Church with the service beginning at 1:00pm.
