1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs...
Michael King, 69, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on March 14, 2023 after a hard fought battle with Cancer.

Michael was a family man, devoted father, protector, civil servant and problem solver. His career involved serving and protecting the public as well as support in computer technology. He was a quick learner in technology and could easily engage with the public and his online clients. He took pride in his work as well as providing services to those in need.
He grew up in a Baptist household with strong ties to the church. His upbringing resulted in his love for his family, friends, caring for people and the community. The knowledge of a higher power has been a lifelong trait that he exhibited in his compassion for his family and empathy for others. He is survived by his wife, daughters, son-in-law, Dr. Walson Kehinde Metzger, grandsons, Kieran and Emre Metzger; siblings: Delores Bullard, Theola Junigan, Emmett King; a host of nieces and nephews: Dawn Bullard, Jeffrey Junigan, Kathy Sanders, Eugene and Brenda King, Jamila and Lateefah Pree, Marcus Johnson, Dante Moxley, Jason Noland, Thomas Moxley III, Jennifer Moxley; in-laws: Margaret King, Delores Smith, Yolanda Pree, Thomas Moxley II (Yong) and Joseph Moxley (Arcella). He always anticipated his family's needs and wants by surprising them with treats, gifts, gadgets or other acts of kindness. He loved automobiles, spending hours looking at new models arriving at car dealerships and carefully maintaining his own in pristine condition. When not admiring cars and technology, he enjoyed traveling to tropical destinations with his family, fine dining and relaxing. Quiet times later in life were spent being at home with his family, enjoying music and watching nature from his home. His pride was the success of his family, wife, daughters, son-in-law and other loved family members. To know Michael was to love him.
