Michelle Denise Gray, affectionately known to family and friends as "Den," peacefully departed this life following a brief illness. She was born on February 21, 1956 to Sammie and Inez Hampton Gray in Forsyth County, North Carolina.
Michelle was educated in the Forsyth County School System, where she developed her lifelong love of learning. She continued her education at Salem College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Her sharp mind, compassionate spirit and warm personality touched everyone she met, both personally and professionally.
"Den" will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous heart and her steadfast faith. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, always finding joy in laughter, storytelling and spending time with loved ones. "Den" enjoyed baking, watching television, listening to music, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Sammie Gray, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Shayla (Tony) Clark; parents Sammie and Inez Gray; loving siblings: Jackie (Rick) Romeyn, Sherri (Damon) Grant, Kim Gray and Bridgette (Lawrence) Reaves; and her treasured grandchildren, Gavin Clark and Asher Clark, who brought immense light to her life, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Though her earthly journey has ended, Michelle's legacy of love, faith and kindness will continue to live on through all who knew her.
