Mozella N. Gist White was born on January 31, 1938 in Union County, South Carolina to the late Ezell Gist and Asilize Renwick Gist. She peacefully entered eternal rest on January 3, 2026 at Davidson Health & Rehabilitation.

Mrs. White was a faithful member of First Baptist Church on Village Drive, where she loved and served the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Elsa Gist.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her three children, Rev. Stanley (Cynthia) Rice,  Ernestine White and Christopher Gist; six grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; a dear friend, Ben Richards; two goddaughters, Pam Keck and  Eileen Summer and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at Files Chapel Baptist Church, with family visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. and the service starting at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
