Nakeya Cherie Gallimore,36, of Woodland Avenue, Winston Salem, North Carolina, peacefully slipped away from this earthly world of care on Thursday, February 24, 2022 while in the comfort of her home. She was born on July 12, 1985 to Alvin Dacus and Jacqueline Gaillmore in Forsyth, North Carolina.


She received her formal education from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and graduated from Mt. Tabor High School. She was employed with the Compass Group through Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in supportive services of housekeeping.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline M. Gallimore.


Although Nakeya is gone from among us, her memory lives on in her precious children, Madeline and Demetri Gallimore; two sisters, Lakeya Gallimore and Jasmine McEachin; brother, Edward Gallimore; grandmother, Mattene Walker of Monticello, MS; five aunts; three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.


The celebration of life will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem). The family will receive friends at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Nakeya will rest following the service in the serenity of Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
