Ms. Nellie Mickens, 79, formerly of Link Circle, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Brookstone Retirement Center.


She was born in Richmond County, Georgia to Tom and Estelle Hazel Mickens on September 14, 1943. She was a former member of Files Chapel Baptist Church and sang in the senior choir. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Henry and Prelo Mickens.


She leaves to cherish her memory many cousins and the staff and residents at Brookstone Retirement Center.


A graveside service will be Wednesday at 12:00 Noon at South Lexington City Cemetery. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00pm- 5:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
