Mr. Norman Ray Friday, 77, died at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia.

Graveside service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery.

He was born in Davidson County to James Kelly Friday, Sr. and Mary Lee Reder Friday. He served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Alandra G. Reid; a brother, James K. Friday, Jr. and a sister, Peggy F. Hairston.

Norman leaves to cherish his memory three sons: Calvin Reid, Norman Friday, Jr. and Dewayne Friday; a daughter, Kristie Friday; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond C. Friday, Delmont (Debbie) Friday and Thomas C. (Tammy) Friday; two sisters, Ethel F. Williams and Mary F. McCauley; two aunts, Adelaide F. Talbert and Mildred F. George and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
