Octavia Mordeci Partee, 72, of Greensboro, NC, made her heavenly transition on Saturday March 5, 2022 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC surrounded by family.

Octavia was born in Davidson County to the late Jay Elworth Partee and Mamie Lea Simon Partee on February 13, 1950.

Octavia attended Davidson County Schools and Lexington Senior High School. Her classmates hold fond memories of her. She was a CNA for many years until she retired.

Octavia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved the Lord, living life, her family, cooking and helping others. While in the kitchen, you could always smell her famous fried chicken. She loved to laugh and would do anything to help anyone.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her three brothers: Jay Partee, Don Partee, Toy Partee; two great-granddaughters, Nevaeh Chavis, Miracle Partee and a nephew, Tedric Jenkins, Sr.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Christopher (Faye) Partee; three grandchildren: Brittany (Rickey) Chavis, Derek Partee and Katrina Partee; nine great-grandchildren: Elijah Johnson, Anirbas Taylor, Shomari Shaw-Partee, Ja'Ziah Chavis, Keliyah Chavis, Katarri Puckett, Rickey Chavis III, Ranaya Sweeney and Nova Hillyard; her brother, Ted Partee; two sisters, Nora Partee, Faye Partee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00pm in the Craven~Powell Chapel at Roberts Funeral Service. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
