Obituary

Mrs. Olivia Bullock Bellamy, 68, of Poplar St., passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1:30pm at New Zion Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 1-8pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

She was born on January 1, 1947 in Tarboro, NC to the late James Staton and Lenora Barnes Staton. She was a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church and served on the usher board and senior choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters: Margie, Thelma, Ora, Hattie, Annie, and Effie and two brothers, Willie and James.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jesse Lee Bellamy; sons, Jesse E. (Kim) Bellamy and Michael R. Bellamy; daughters, Joyce Bowman, Jackie Vaughters and Yolanda Bellamy; one nephew, Renard Edwards (Tonja) whom she considered a son; 13 grandchildren and 1o great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rudy Bullock of Lexington, James. D. Staton of Rocky Mount and King E. Staton (Vernice) of Maryland; a sister, Ida M. Dozier of Rocky Mount; her mother-in-law, Mary Bellamy and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
