Olivia Barbara Bethea Holmes was born in Queens, NY on March 4, 1953. She transitioned to her Heavenly home on February, 19. 2018. Olivia was the daughter of Libbie Perkins Quattlebaum.

Olivia, affectionately known as Libbie, was an active member of the Union Baptist Church Gospel Choir until her health declined. She loved her church and always had plans of returning. She was preceded in death by her mother and husband, Thomas Holmes, Jr.

Olivia leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Lamar L. Britt of the home; her daughter, Kendra Holmes of Lexington; stepdaughters, Melissa (Nathaniel) Small of Lexington and Kristi Holmes of Charlotte; five grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren; two very special nieces, June Britt and Nettie McIntosh of Lexington; a favorite nephew, Gerome McIntosh of Lexington; brother-in-law, Reggie Holmes of Greensboro; sisters-in-law, Mary Holmes of Lexington and Helen Dye of New Jersey; her fur babies, Bandit and Tyson; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral service will be Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with family visitation at 2:00. Burial will follow at New Smith Grove Baptist Cemetery. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00-6:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
