Omelia Alford Thompson, 80, was born on May 26, 1940 to the late John Alford, Sr. and Sarah Margaret Alford in Rowland, North Carolina.Omelia transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, February 20, 2021 while in the comfort and security of her home.

Omelia was educated in the local public schools.She was employed with R.J. Reynolds in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Omelia was preceded in death by her father, John Alford, Sr.; mother, Sarah Margaret Alford; sister, Sarah Francis Clark and brother, Barnes Alford.

Omelia leaves to cherish her beloved memory her two brothers, Richard (Isabella) Alford and John (Lillie) Alford, Jr.; devoted and dedicated nephew/son, Fredrick "Tookie" Morrison; dedicated niece/daughter, Margaret Ross and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The Celebration of a Graceful Life will be held privately on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Her mortal frame shall be coached to Piedmont Memorial Gardens for earthly rest. Public viewing will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel. In accordance with Covid-19 social distancing protocols, all guests are required to wear a face mask.
